Frequently Asked Questions

How does IRS know whom to target? Prospect profile
We don't until our clients tell us. Depending on the project, our client would complete a detailed profile that identifies a most desirable prospect. We would then search our proprietary database containing 1.3 million industry contact records and information on virtually any manufacturing or process company in the continental US to match our clients' sales prospect criteria to the records within the database. In some cases prospect lists are supplied by our client.

What makes the IRS database better than the next?
Ongoing and continual verification. Our highly skilled research team is on the phone everyday updating existing and gathering new company and contact information.

Can I tell you specific companies on who we want to focus?
Yes! In fact we encourage our clients to do so. No one knows the specific market better than the client serving it.

Will you do this same work for my competitors?
Generally, yes. But, we do have exclusive arrangements with a number of our clients. If exclusivity is an important issue to a client, we are happy to discuss their needs.

How can you give us all this for the low prices you charge?
Efficiency in systems and procedures. Most marketing services firms sell just that, "marketing services". They perform one-off projects that continually call for new or different systems and procedures.

Although we too, can be classified as a service company we primarily provide six core products. Each product meets everyday challenges that many industrial sales and marketing organizations must face.

Customizing each product to meet our client's specific need requires only slight modification. This fact has allowed us to focus on streamlining and automating the work process. Efficient systems and procedures combined with a dedicated, highly trained staff equate to higher productivity and lower cost. We pass those savings along to our clients.

Are there hidden charges?
No! Each program we offer has standard fees, which are communicated up front. Options may be added and are priced on a per basis. We get through.

How can IRS get through to the right people when our sales people can’t?
Which call would you be more likely to take? A call where the person on the phone would be attempting to sell you something, or a call seeking your advice and opinion?

We have no experience with IRS. How can you prove your value to me without a long-term commitment or large investment from us?
All we ask is that you try one of our programs. Most are priced at less than $2000. No long term commitment is required.

Do you guarantee your work? What happens if I’m not satisfied?
Every program we sell has a satisfaction guarantee. We work closely with every client to develop every component of the project. Client approval is required before we ever get on the phone. We then do a field test to make sure we are talking to the right people and gathering exactly the information you want. Changes can be made if needed and your approval is again required for us to continue. We work for you, if you are not satisfied, we are not satisfied.

What makes you think IRS can do for us better than we can do for ourselves?
Focus. Our clients focus on selling their products. We focus on helping them know who may be ready to buy and what they need to do to capture the attention of the buyer.

If we give you our leads to qualify, how do I know you won’t use them for another project with another company, maybe even our competitors?
Part of our standard agreement with each client is a legally binding confidentiality clause. Contracts not withstanding, our reputation is much more important to us than the few dollars that might be saved by re-purposing data. We have never and will never use information collected for a client for anyone other than that client.

What information can I expect to get from your sales intelligence reports?
Sales intelligence reports
The answer depends upon the information our client wants to collect. Let's for a moment say our client sells red boxes. If our client needs to know more companies that buy red boxes we'll find out. If our client wants to know who buys those boxes in lots of 10,000 we'll report it. If our client wants to know when next the buyer will be placing an order for boxes we'll tell them. But most importantly, we can help our clients learn what it will take for those that buy red boxes to buy theirs.

How long has IRS been doing this?
Since 1992

Can you give me references?
